At Downtown Dogs our training is tailored to meet clients' specific needs. We view dogs - and their owners - as individuals. We believe training should be effective and fun, strengthening the bond between owner and pet and building a team based on fair leadership, respect, and clear communication.
All of our trainers are graduates of the Master Dog Trainer program at Canada
West Canine Centre, a certified post-secondary school for dog trainers located in Salmon Arm, British Columbia.

Lori Mason

A life-long lover of dogs, Lori was inspired to attend Canada West after adopting her rescue dog, Kona. Guiding him through many behavioural issues gave Lori a passion for working with rescue dogs, and she is well-known and liked for the extra time she spends with students in need of help.
In addition to running her own company, Obediently Yours K9 Training, Lori teaches our Puppy, Basic, Intermediate, and Private classes and volunteers her time and expertise at local shelters.
Lori is a member of the Canadian Association for Pet Dog Trainers and has her Dog Safe First Aid Certification.
Lori has three dogs at home: Kona, the rescue shepherd cross, Tala, a young female german shepherd, and Briar, an American Eskimo foster dog who keeps the rest of the pack on their toes.
